Powered by two Wright P-3350-32W piston engines rated at 3500 bhp each, and two Wright J34-WE-34 turbojets rated at 3400 lb thrust each. The jet engines used the same fuel as the piston engines, so avoiding the need for separate fuel tanks.
Max. speed 345 mph with a crew of up to 9.
First flown in 1945, 1051 Neptune’s of all types were built.
